Killing power to fuel pumps solves hot start.....please help, IM STUCK !!!

Hey I had this same exact problem with my 87 744 na, a while back.
I had to pull the fuse to get it to hit, it would run well without it for a while. Eventually it got to where I had to pull it, crank it, then it would start to stumble, then replace the fuse and drive.

It turned out in my case to be a crossed wire. I'm not sure exactly what wire anymore, I'll call & try to find out. An oil change place killed my engine, replaced it and this issue. They finally took it to a dealer. Dealer swaped a wire from the injector (fuel) side with another that had been placed where it should have. Problem fixed (except that it killed my fuel relay & it had to be replaced shortly afterword).

I'll see if I can't find out exactly what wire was switched.
