If the PLUNGER (AKA Stuck Pin) in the fuel distributor is stuck then you would be flooding the engine. Keep in mind that there are more factors to a faulty K-Jet system and a stuck "pin"/plunger is rare. Usually bad idling and hard COLD Starts are linked to AIR LEAKS between the Air Flow Plate and the Intake Valves. But for now lets try to eliminate the FLOODING.
First this is to take off the BOOT the connects the Fuel Distributor to the intake manifold. What you want to do next is to get some vise-grips or channel locks and grab the center nut of the Air Flow Plate. Be careful when grabbing the nut and imagine that you were trying to get to a nut that fell somewhere, you're not trying to take it off but more like get a good grip. Once you have a good grip on the nut in the center of the Air Flow Plate lift the plate up slowly and try to feel how much resistance you have. If the plate moves up and down with NO RESISTANCE from the very start then you could have a stuck plunger. If the plate has some resistance the first time you pull up but less the other times then that sounds about right. The plate should be able to move up (as if the vacuum from the intake manifold was causing the incoming air to move the plate up) and you should feel like the pluger comes back down after the plate returns to it's normal position.
If this is confusing I'm sorry but I will try to explain better. The point is if the pluger is stuck then the injectors are getting too much fuel to go shoot out thus you flooding condition. But as I said before most fault with the K-Jet system are air leaks and cold start problems so if the plunger and air plate are working right then the next thing would be to check for air leaks, check to make sure the control pressure regulator is not clogged, and lastly make sure that the Air Aux. Valve is open on start-up to aid in the rich conditon needed at start up. Below is a outline of the K-Jet system. If you need a better clarification e-mail me or reply to this post. Once I have my head together I will try to make my explaination easier. Good Luck!

Sincerely,
