If you want wider rims/tires, see the advice in the other post.

If you want stock 165-15, they *are* available. Firestone and Nokian, among many others, still make them. You just have to do some digging.

165-15 happens to be the stock size on most VW Beetles. That's the main reason they're out there, because there are so many VW on the road still.
