Don't just jump in and reset and drive off... you'll have to tune accordingly.

Also, please try the adjustment technique here:

Using the factory or Haynes techniques, you end up with the outer valves looser than the center ones -- this gets them all even. Also also note that feeler gauges are called that for a reason. They are not Go / No Go gauges, despite what some will tell you.
