Final Knock Sensor Question 200

The answer is no. The knock sensor must be torqued correctly to the block (have to use an inch-pound torque wrench) for it to read correctly. There is no way to test them unless you use a scope and also have the correct pattern file to compare it against. Just go buy one and chalk it up to preventative maintenance.
