Should I be worried? 444-544

An oil pressure gauge would be an excellent idea.

Also, what grade of oil are you running? The manual for my '72 1800ES recommends 20W-50 for summer driving, though I generally use 15W-40 and still have excellent oil pressure.

With a high mileage engine such as yours a slightly thicker oil is a good idea.

The heavy duty 15W-40 oils such as Chevron Delo are often thought of as "diesel oils" but they also work wonderfully in older cars, Volvos included.
