Had a recent problem with the odo in our 90 240 so I picked up a used one at PAP, only to find out some neer-do-well stole the odometer gear out of it then stuck it back.
ANywaym since the odo gear in mine was ok I swapped it into the used one. Only problem is the used one had 240,000 and ours has 128,000 and I want to set it back.
I understand the solution is to slide the small rod out which holds the exposed colored gears on the top of the odometer numbers and then rotate the odo to where you want it but I can't figure how to get the rod out without breaking something. Suggestions?
