Windshield trim coming up 200 1990

Not sure if it helps but after a windshield replacement on one of my non-volvo cars the water started making its way inside the car. It turns out that the windshield was replaced by some monkeys as there was a 1/4inch gap between the glass and the trim/seal. I used the RTV to fill the gap, no problems in over a year so far. Its a messy work though.
