Sun roof alignment - 780 700

This doesn't relate to you're sunroof woes...but it does to some of Volvo's shortcomings in the witring department ;o). On my 780 (and probally all Volvo's to a point) they use spade type connectors to connect to the fuse block. These come loose/corrode over time and cause phantom electronics, such as your fuel door release. The trunk and fuel door are on the same circuit..I'd check to see if the electric trunk release is functional..if not I'd suspect (if you haven't checked already) the fuse or the connection on the other side of the block. Hope this helps.
