Glad to hear it! I know all about the Accessory function for the fuel flap/trunk release...took me the longest time to figure that out. The only reason I can figure they did that was for security reasons...no keys...no access to the gas tank or trunk..a good idea :o). The nice thing about a 780 is that almost all the mechanicals/electrical are interchangeable with the 7xx family as well as most of the 9xx family. The crappy part...as I'm sure you know...is that all cosmetics were specifically designed by Bertone for that car and are only interchangeable among other 780's (unless of course you want to taint her with "generic" 7xx parts ;o) )
Keep me posted on your project. I just recenly replace inner/outer tie rod ends (225,560 miles), rack boots and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my struts so I can embark on the ball joint/strut mount/strut project and get new tires to replace the ruined ones from the failed parts/aligment issues. After the suspension comes motor/tranny mounts, all cooling hoses, U-joints, minor exhaust repair, and the preventitave timing chain replacement/ valve adjustment. (Also recently replaced a shorted transistor in the ECU thanks to the lovely bio-wire, 2 dollars and some change, if anyone wants more infor on this repair / transistor part number let me know....)
