Radio Static 700 1992

Hi all,

Seems that I have a problem with static coming from the radio. When I turn on the radio it will throw out some static noise through the speakers but then all is fine for a few minutes. Then out of the blue I start to hear this annoying static and whining noise coming through the speakers. To correct the problem temporarily, I need to step on the brake pedal. If that doesn't work, then I need to turn on the lights and press the rear fog light switch on and off. This seems to fix the problem until I go over a bump and the noise starts again. I know it must be a bad ground but where do I begin to look. On a rainy day its not even worth turning the damn thing on!!

Help!!
