I number of people I know are scratching their heads about Volvo Werks, so I'm eager for some feedback as well. Their deal sounds WAY too good to be true, but their advertising it much too widely for it to be an outright scam.

Boring out a B18 for B20 pistons does not make a B20. You're much better off starting with a B20 in the first place and rebuilding that. It's cheaper, too.
