Alternator Question 200 1989

It is a simple bolt/unbolt job to swap them. A few wires and two bolts. Have a friend lever the alt against the block with a crowbar to tighten the belts, then just do the bolts up nice and snug with a breaker bar. Relatively simple for the home mech. Even I can get the instalation right, it's diagnosing the problem that taxes my grey matter. It's even do-able withought jackstands if you feel like getting familiar with the brick, but probably more comfortable if you raise the front of the car properly.
