Chiming in with agreements and other things:

Third brake lights are cool, I have an LED version.

SUV's suck, period. Get outta the damn way already, I can't see around to why you're holding up the flow!

Aluminum tape or aluminum spray on the backing plates works very well.

IPD has some very nice, bright, BRIGHT bulbs on page 35 of the 2004 (vintage) catalog, I'm using them all over the back of my car. The LED is not the brightest thing back there anymore.
