sunroof wind deflector - how to remove 700 1991

Matt,

How does the plastic wind deflector interfere with the removal? I am very interested since I will be removing my sunroof headliner to have it reupholstered on Monday. I'm removing/reinstalling the sunroof part while a shop does the rest of the headliner. The volvo service manual makes no mention of having to remove the plastic deflector.
