240 speedometer problems 200 1992

I HAD A SPEEDO PROBLEM ON MY '91 240 WAGON. TURNED OUT TO BE THE CONTROL WIRE UNDER THE CAR LOOKED GOOD, BUT BACK NEAR THE SENDING UNIT, AT A CONNECTION, THE WIRE HAD CORRODED THROUGH. I CUT THE WIRE, RECONNECTED IT WITH A SMALL JUMPER AND 2 CRIMP CONNECTORS. WORKED GOOD EVER SINCE.
