NO START 700 1988

Bruce,

As Noel said, you need to look beyond the first couple of pages. The diagrams cover quite a few years. Even if you can't come up with a perfect match, the basic knowledge is helpful. Example: I have an '89 760 and I think Volvo chose a different wire color for every wire in that thing, but the circuitry I believe to be almost identical. Still better than a Haynes manual in which I can barely make out anything even when using a magnifyer. By the way to give credit where credit is due: Noel (ndesouza) recently posted the link to this website on the brickboard. I was able to print the diagrams out, but had to use 11 X 17 paper. There is some strange issues with the diagrams, such as some of the diagrams are for left hand drive, but an associated diagram is for right hand drive, but I am sure you can make sense of it.

You might want to try a little further up on the website such as:
http://www.autoelectric.ru/auto.html

From here you can select Volvo for additional model diagrams or select other makes of car. I have not found much in english beyond the Volvo wiring diagrams. May be fun to play around with one of the on-line translators unless you are fluent with Russian.

Ciao,
Dan
