The size of the brakes will determine what wheels you can put on your car. Most 8 valve base 740 came with the 10" brakes, most turbos came with the 11.25" brakes, the 16 valves were a toss up. Measure them and see, if they measure over 11" in diameter or if you have very little space between the wheel and the caliper on 15" wheels you have the large brakes.
