87 245 - finally running ok - but still rich at start up.......

This is the ongoing saga of the 87 245 with 300k miles - that came home on the AMA hook 1 1/2 weeks ago....

I got it running a couple days ago - was running fine - then this morning my son went out to start it and couldn't - he said it was missing bad.

I went out and yes - it was missing - but it ran - let it run for a few seconds - then a bit of accelerator - and it smoothed out and is now fine.

I had cleaned the ACI valve, and the throttle body, connector plug by the battery (behind the coil), checked all hoses, ...

The one thing that I did not do while I had the ACI valve and throttle body off, was to clean the flame trap.

Could this be causing the symptoms described ??

Any other ideas ??
