injector question 700 1987

Examine the spark plug on this cyl also.
My guess is this injector only kicks in at higher RPMs.
Measure its resistence. It should be 16 ohms.
Also, considering age and milleage, I wouldn't rule out
poor compression. With spark plug out, put about a spoon full
of motor oil into the "sick" cyl. Let sit for few hours.
Replace spark plug, and restart. If it idles better, poor
compression is the culprit. (Ignore heavy smoke. It will clear).
