Yellowish innards S90-V90 1997

Sounds like a water emulsion in the oil.
Could simply be the result of a series of short trips in the car, no long highway driving to boil out the moisture.

Could be a thermostat keeping the engine cold (thermostat failed open).

Could be at worst, a head gasket leak, but you'd expect to see oil in the coolant as well. Probably excessive white steam from the exhaust too.

Drive it for at least half an hour, better yet an hour, and see if it's still there- if it's gone, probably just a little winter moisture collecting in there.
