Heh - filrted with the idea of getting an XC for the wife, but when I looked into them a little I got scared off by all the horror stores. Bevel gears, electronic throttle actuatorss, air pumps. Very expensive gadgets that go out with some regularity, apparently. No thanks. We got a clean as a whistle (Cali car driven here just months before we bought it) 9 year old 4Runner instead. Manual tranny and half what an XC would have cost. Volvo sure isn't what Volvo used to be.
