Agree w/ John... 140-160

Once SU piston is max up, then carb acts like a fixed "choke" carb. Under steady state operation mixture will be fairly constant.

Note that once piston is up, the enriching effect of oil plunger dampening is gone. This will result a lean spot on throttle change.

My impression with Hitachi SUs on Z's is that the piston is full up at around 2/3 throttle.
