looking for a 122 120-130

I absolutely agree with all the wisdom expounded in this thread, but I specifically want to endorse JohnMc's suggestion. I was looking for a 122 when I came across a nice "62 PV544 and bought that -- not a minute of regret, not even when I blew a bunch of piston rings trying to pass a semi doing 80+. I suggest you keep on looking for a 122, if the one you are currently thinking of doesn't measure up, but if a PV, or even a 142, in acceptable condition comes along for a reasonable price, give them consideration as well. Although the 140 series cars don't have the "character" that the PVs and Amazons have, they can often be had for a better price. They have safety features the other two don't have, they can be set up to be nice performers and handlers, and to my eye, the 142s, though rarer than the other members of the family, are real lookers.
