Trans fluid change S90-V90

I had the same concern. I wouldn't worry about it too much. This dipstick is just one of the signs of Volvos downfall in the 90s. They did this on purpose to emphesize the point that the ATF doesn't need to be changes. Silly.
Small hands can be a big help in this situation. I have gotten some dirt in there but I've never had a problem. Getting a hose all the way down there was a real pain. Also the clip thats supposed to hold down the dip stick has to be bent back while at the same time inseting the hose. Patience is a virtue in this situation.
When you remove the pan remember to scrape off all the left over orange glue on the bottom of the trasmission and the pan. I used a block of wood so I wouldn't scratch anything.
