As far as B18s running smoother than B20s, I would venture that that might just be the difference you sometimes find between one engine and another, but I have absolutely no doubt about their being quieter. I have a B18 that I'm going to rebuild just for the fun of it, and I would have no qualms about putting it back into my PV if the B20 I have in there now started misbehaving.
