The handles themselves are definitely left and right but I would imagine that some of the stuff in there is symetrical and it would not matter if you flipped it over. The wishbone looking affair that the wrist pin goes through and the linkage goes through on the other end looks pretty much symetrical, meaning that it looks the same left to right and front to back so that it would not matter if you flipped the little bugger. This is the piece that always came loose on them back in the day, I do not know if it is the same piece that is breaking on yours, if it is then I would say it does not matter left to right.
