yes it could always be wiring but not sure if this will apply to yours but my motor in the door had gotten loose and rounded out the holes a bit and the motor got in a bind that is why it would work some time and not others. I put some big fender washers on the nut/bolts to strengthen the motors mounting in the door and it is not working like a charm. I guess I should do the 3 other doors on my wagon the same way but just have not done it yet.
