I always understood that the automatic transmission had an A cam in front of 'em ?
A is the cam used in single carb engines: B18A & B20A.
C is the twin carb cam: B18B & B20B.
E is the D-Jet B20E & F cam.
E was also the 1st rally cam used in B18B Amazons.
K is the K-Jet B20E & F cam.
Auto's behind single, twin or injector engines have torque convertors with different stall speeds & slighly different gear change points.
A-cam - Low end torque...lot's of it.
Kinda falls on it's face after 3800 rpms
I though the A fall on it's face after it got above idle speeds. :P
