It's probably a current drain rather than a faulty charging system. The door lock circuit should be suspect. Use a multimeter to determine if there is a current draw with the key out of ignition.
Since you expect the batt to go flat overnight, pull the door lock circuit fuse to see if the batt is flat in the morn. If not, then it's the door lock. There may be a short in the key turn switch or the push-pull switch in the driver's door.
