Here's a picture (there's a second in the galleries) of the flex-a-lite fan I mounted in front of the radiator of my Amazon. If I remember correctly, the only additional things I needed for installation were some SS nuts for the side mounts. Fit was a little tight so a bit of the guard in front of the fan had to be trimmed- you can see where in the hole in the support that runs from the front trunk/radiator support to the front 'clip.' In the second picture in the gallery you can see the thermostatic control mounted to the inner wing support.
I removed my mechanical fan yesterday and did 150 miles in the heat and humidity today. On the highway the temp stayed as it normally does. Stuck in traffic getting into the city (when the electric fan comes on, of course), it ran a little bit hotter than it did with mechanical fan also on, but not so much that I'm worried about it. I think it'll be fine without it.
