Thanks for the info Mario, that's more or less the kind of 'been there, done that' experience I was lookin' for. Do you happen to have any pics of the supports under your car?

Alas, no, the conversion to the M40 was done a long time ago (man, couldn't they have just put an M41 in then?!), so I don't have the shorter shaft. I'll measure, measure, and measure a few more times for good measure!

Yeah, it's tight with the accelerator pedal- there are a couple pairs of shoes I have that are definitely 'amazon-incompatible!' Someday, if I get into welding, I may put in a new tunnel or something.... More likely though I think I might take the brake and clutch pedal assemblies and cut them and get them rewelded to shift them to the left an inch for a bit more foot room on the acc.
