Problem seems to be solved. 200 1984

Well I took another look last night. I sprayed brake cleaner down the nipple where the distributor vacuum line plugs into the carb. It seemed to be plugged. It was running better and then I tried adjusting the idle? screw near the temp compensator(back side). It was turned out 2 full turns already as per Haynes. Turned it in about a 1/2 turn. It smoothed out the idle further. Car runs fine now. I had earlier adjusted the idle with the idle bypass screw as I normally do but that did not cure the stalling. I think I'll pull the carb and give it a throttle body clean in the near future.
I think I will look into finding a SU carb. Just the different models of these carbs makes understanding them all that more difficult. The reason most of us like the B21A cars is for their simplicity.
Thanks for the help.
