Fuel line routing past headers

The fuel line coming up past the left exhaust header is much closer than I like, I have it shielded with "Thermo Sleeve" but it only clears the exhaust flange by a little more than an inch.

What have others done?
Should I worry? (I will anyway)

This could to be a safety issue and I would like to take care of it. Haven't had any problems so far, and certainly don't want any.

Thanks

My car's conversion is 10 years old (done in 96). The stock header sat near those fuel lines for 7 years and 30k+ miles; when I pulled the motor for performance mods, I shielded it as the FRPP header flange sat a bit closer. Never a problem at all -- before or after shielding. Motor's been in the car for nearly 50K now...

My fuel lines are rerouted away from the header. Sorry I don't have pics. Ross Converse told me not to worry too much since the fuel is always moving, but I just wasn't comfortable. Heat sheilding should work fine though too.

TR Conn,

My fuel supply and fuel return lines were closer to one of the exhaust manifolds than I would like. I had some SS teflon lines made up that had some thermal sheilding built in. The run from the intake manifold to mid-car. Gives me more peace of mind. =)
