Ford 302 EFI to Carb

Hey group I am new to the forum. I have purchased a 91 Volvo 940 wagon with a FI 94 Ford 302 with AOD. I am wondering what the 940's in tank fuel pump pressure is? I am hoping to pull the aging FI stuff off the motor and run a 4bbl carb/intake. I realize the I need to decrease the fuel pressure to run a carb and I am hoping the tank pump is sufficient to use if I get rid of the secondary high pressure inline fuel pump under the car. I will also be changing the distributor and also getting the Lokar TV cable to be able to use the AOD with the carb. Thanks in advance for the help!

I have an IPD aftermarket in-tank pump on my 240 that feeds the under-car main pump, kinda similar to your 940. That small in-tank pump pushes so much pressure to 30 psi maybe even more! You should plug the output hose from the in-tank pump with a pressure gauge, run the pump directly from the battery, and see how much pressure it will push. This way you will know for sure what you have.
