Starter Options for Ford V8 Conversion

I was wondering what type of starter would you recommend for the Ford V8 conversion

1) One piece Starter with Internal solenoid

or

2) Starter with external solenoid (stock 302)

I have heard compains from people with with Onepiece starter with the integrated solenoid. Is the "stock" starter fairly reliable?

Thanks

Mike

I haven't had any trouble (I should be knocking on wood now huh?)
with the factory set up....

I replaced the stock, heavy one wire starter with a later model 'mini-starter' with external solenoid. www.pa-performance.com

Here's another vote for a mini starter. The stock starter is big, inhibiting exhaust pipe placement, and because of that you'll need to run the exhaust closer to it, hastening its demise. Plus, it's heavy. Plus again... the mini starter sounds cooler.

Of course, it's always easy for me to spend other folk's money.
