FS: 1991 Volvo 940 GLE - good swap shell

Back up again FS, I was going to B230 it but the engine I was getting fell through. Need the cash to buy a truck. Your loss my gain.

{original ad follows}

My starter Volvo project is taking too much time and effort away from the race car, and with the season coming up in a few months I just don't have the time/space to complete this car when I want and need it done. My loss is your gain.

The car is a 1991 940 GLE, 250 or so thousand on the shell. I bought it from a co-worker after the belt broke and was planning on using it as a daily/tow vehicle. It turns out that coolant was left in the bores too long when the head fragged and the p.o. pulled it. Unfortunately, the block is siezed at the rings. It can probably be fixed, but isn't worth my time to do so. I had the head done up, but all those parts are sold. The block and auto are still in the car, the auto should be in 100% working order.

For the most part everything else works on the car, and a shake down test of the suspension revealed nothing obvious that needs replacing. I'm going to power it up again with the batter and check out all the power stuff, but it should be good to go.

The body is as straight as it gets and the only bad spots are the hood which is a bit rough, and the rear wheel well on the pass side where a tire fell off my stack onto the car, left a bit of rubber and could be buffed out I'd think. The color of the car is white, with tan leather.

This would make a good B230F+t swap car, or a good canidate for a V8 swap in its current condition. After I found out the block was siezed I was going to put a 455 Olds motor I have in it, but again, no time.

I'll get pics of the car when I get it out of the garage when the weather is a bit better.

I'm looking for $500 for the car, and can do a little less if you don't want the block and trans in the car (V8 guys probably). The title clear but it is in process and will be back from the state at the end of next week by the latest, they say.

Anyway, post here or PM me for more details and offers. I'd like to see it gone QUICK if possible as I need the space. Thanks!

PICS:

As you can see the shell is pretty clean, perfect for a B230FT swap or a small/big block of your choice. 8)
