Testing oil pressure V70-XC70

I spoke with TimeSert tech support. Their kit comes with a drill bit that has a square that fits a tap handle. So, they agreed that I could use a 3/8 drive Lisle tap socket and my right angle 3/8 drive air ratchet to do the drilling and tapping in the 11 inch space I have available. I will also use thread sealant on the outer threads of the insert.

The biggest challenge will be determining when the drill is positioned straight, because, while you can see if it is off left to right, when viewed from the top, it hard to see if it is square to the hole on the up and down axis.

Pulling the intermediate sump would make it easier, but I worry that the crank, which would be supported by the timing belt in the front and the transmission input shaft in the rear, would damage the front or rear seals, overstress the timing belt, or possibly the distort the clutch plate.

Hopefully I can do it in place.
