The $*@#!!!*& Check Engine light is driving me nuts, illuminating when there is nothing wrong. Is there any way to disconnect this thing??? Thanxxxx........

Hate to tell you this, but if it's on, then something is wrong. You're looking at possibly major breakdown if you disconnect it (take the bulb out) down the line. Could be tomorrow or could be a week or month from now. What are the codes you get from the CEL? Have you tried to read them? Autozone or PepBoys will do it for you if you don't have a reader.
