clock lite 850 1996

gerr so many problems with my car. i just had a brake line split. fortunatly this was as i was truning on to my road after a long trip home from vermont. now my clock lite is out and i was wondering if this an easy do it yourself project.

I'd replace all of the lights with LEDs so you don't have to do it again in the future. Most of the instrument bulbs are 2721 bulbs. The #74 LEDs replace the 2721 bulbs. They draw less power, run cooler, and don't burn out.

Checkout Volvospeed.com under the repair/maintenance section. Enter Bay 13 and there is an article with pictures on dash removal. I also recommend that you replace all the bulbs in the cluster while you are there, but the unit is pretty easy to remove so you may just want to do the one that is out....

It’s not bad. You need to remove the cluster by taking the top of the dash off. I would recommend replacing all the lights at once so you don't have to worry about them again for a long while.
