Hi, I have a 90' 740 with the b230. I am considering buying my wife an 850 turbo wagon. I have heard of the ABS and main seal problems and then I hear that if you find an 850 that has been well maintained, there should be no such problems.
My question is, besides common wear items, are there problems with these cars that happen regardless of good maintenance?
Are repairs "do-able" in an 850 for someone that has diagnosed and repaired a 740 head gasket, timing belt, both fuel pumps, susp. bushings, ignition switch, etc..
I know, I sound crazy, but I just want to make the right decision. My wife won't drive the body style of the 700 series, so Im looking at the next best thing, so I dont have to get her a Land Rover(which she wants, but I don't!).
Thanks guys for all your help!!
