Hello everybody!
Just purchased a 2001 XC and it seems to start rather slowly. I have just replaced the battery but in the morning it still seems to start slowly and it sounds like the battery is flat - starting out with slow difficult turns for the first couple times around and then it picks up and finally catches.
Are there lights staying on? Something draining the battery? Or is this a common problem with the 01s?

    If you are parked outside and it is very cold in your area, I would suspect someone put very heavy oil in the car. It is not supposed to crank slowly, and then pick up speed. Change the oil to 5W30, preferably synthetic, and seee if that makes a difference.
