PLASTIC Trans dipstick...to change or not to change? S70

I have read broken trans dipstick.
Mine looks fine but called dealer. It is not too bad about $14.

QUESTION for all the folks here:

1. Should I change it?
2. Any aftermarket company selling metal dipstick?

There are no metal after market tranny dipsticks. If yours looks fine, why replace it?

Yup! Mine broke some time ago with a piece of plastic that went into the trans neverland. No adverse affect so far, knock on wood. I bought a new dipstick from the dealer, another plastic of course.

I am worried it breaks and ends up inside the trans.
