A/C question V70-XC70

When I first start my car, my A/C is slow in cooling down; it gets cool after a minute or so, but it takes a good 5-10 minutes before it gets 'cold' (I know, I should measure the outlet temp.... a chore for tomorrow maybe). Around town, the A/C is cool but not cold. But on the highway everything is fine usually. I thought that the system may be low on R134a and so I checked the low-side pressure. It read a steady 35 psi and the compressor ran without cutting out. My question, what has experience shown as the 'best' operating pressure for our volvo's A/C system?

Thanks,

JR

    A/C question V70-XC70

If the pressure doesn't fluctuate while the compressor is on, the amount of gas in the unit is just fine. Make sure your fan is operating properly. Sounds like it is not on when the AC is on, and it always should be.
The condenser is not cooling off the gases.

Thanks for the info. The fan is working while the compressor is on and the pressure is very steady. I was wondering whether I overfilled the system slightly, it's running about 35psi. If so, then I suppose I should stop worrying about it.
