Vibration when braking at low speeds 850 1997

Well, like an idiot, I allowed my tires to get too worn. And, as you might expect, I hydroplaned a bit on a rainy day. Not too bad, but I did whang into the curb a bit. Bent the frame slightly, but I got it straightened. The car seems to drive just fine now, except...

Ever since I hit the curb, I'm experiencing a VERY strong vibration when braking at low speeds. I've had the rotors turned (they were nearly new) and new pads were put on the front (the pads were nearly new as well).

The frequency of the vibration remains constant regardless of speed. I tend to suspect that it might have something to do with the ABS going haywire, but I figure someone here probably has a better idea.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.
-Ralph

ABS problems will cause vibration on the brake pedal.
Vibration on the car at low speeds is most likely related to warped rear rotors. Turning them does not help, you need new ones.
Check for lose bolts, bushings, etc.

If you hit the curb hard enough to "bend the frome", you also bent every thing else. I would not suspect the ABS, but A arms, axle, cv joint, etc.

      Thanks, Klaus

Hmm... I'll mention that to my dad (who now owns the car). I think I may have misspoken when I implied that I bent the frame. Or overstated. Something like that. Bottom line is that it simply knocked the right rear wheel enough out of alignment that it needed to be taken to a frame repair shop because the adjustments required were beyond what could be done at a typical alignment shop.

I've had it to three places, and no one seems to know how to fix it. So, perhaps this will take care of the problem.

Anyone else have any thoughts on the issue?
