No start & alarm went off 850 1995

Car will not start & the alarm goes off. I had to unhook the battery to stop the alarm. The turn signals have been working intermittently lately. I'm thinking it’s the turn signal switch. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    try unlocking the drivers door lock twice with the key to disarm the alarm
