S60r Not? S60

Looking into buying a used S60, why are there so many in the used Volvo dealer lots? Is there something I should know, that I don't? Currently driving a 850 GLT 95, 220,000 miles. Just need an upgrade.. 2000 or better.

The s60 is the new 850, and the R is a nice car. Much better than the God awful S80s. Just check it closely. If it is in a dealer's lot, have them run their VADIS code checker through all of the systems on the car, not just the engine and tranny.
The newer, the better.

So many were leased from what I understand and they've come off lease. The buy-out is just not worth it after the lease is up and so folks for-go that and go for another lease or new car after that.
