I swear...this works:
Tape off the area around the moulding and use Kiwi liquid leather dye...not shoe polish. Comes in a little bottle with applicator. Don't use the applicator...use a rag. You may have to give it a second coat. Ours has been on for over a year and doesn't wash off. Looks spectacular!
