Ford touchpad door lock V70-XC70

How can I install a Ford touchpad door lock system on my V70 (or for that matter, on anything else)? When I go canoeing etc and am driving my Ford, I can leave my keys in the car, lock, and then unlock it with the touchpad. Has anyone done this on a Volvo, or for that matter, on a Toyota or a Honda?

As the owner of a Ford and a Volvo - Ford uses lots of integrated electronics so that everything is controlled by one or 2 big modules, and many of the non-essential functions like doorlocks that tie into the main system are often flaky. I wouldn't do things Ford's way.

Why not use the extra service key, safety-pin it to yourself and leave the remote in the car? That's what I do.

Or am I missing something here?

It seems a lot easier than hybridizing Ford and Volvo electronics and cutting a hole in the door. I'm sure a good car alarm place could figure out something, though.
