I'm screwed! I have a 1996 850 turbo, it had stalled maybe ONCE several months ago(more like seven or eight). After that, never had a problem with it. It has 132.000 miles on it, and is getting close to time for a timing-belt change. Now it stalled and won't start. It was running roughly for a couple miles, then stalled and won't start. The check engine light has been on for quite some time for the emmissions control system.
How close do the two cam notches need to be to that shroud? I tried to measure, and it looks like if I tried to get them any closer, moving them one notch would be too far to move them.
Has anyone else had this problem?
How do I check the 'fault codes' for the '96?
I also checked the relay under the fan shroud, all seems to be okay!
Any suggestions?????
Thanks,
Joe
The fuel PUMP is switching on, I can hear it. The fuel filter hasn't been replaced, but when the engine turns over, there is NO putter or anything, so I figured that wasn't it(plus it only stalled the one time).
